End of My Road
*Travelling, travelling on,
leaving behind the things that are gone![x2]
Drinking and smoking are all that I know.
The easy road leaves me with room to grow.
I stick out my thumb and the wind does blow,
Colder and colder to and fro…
My job and my girl are all that I see,
Good food every night, a warm bed for me.
She holds out her finger and then she agrees,
She now wears a ring worth 2.5 G’s.

I grew me a beard, but now it’s turned grey.
I’d Rogain it back but the color wont stay.
My wife and my kids have all gone away.
They left me the cat not neutered or spayed.

When life gives you lemons, just mix up a drink,
And if it’s got alcohol you don’t have to think,
You forget all the good times, forget all the bad,
Forget all those memories you knew you once had.
When life gives you lemons just look to the moon,
It doesn’t matter if you’re the knife or the spoon.
Nothing, the good, the bad, you choose.
How you end up is all up to you.
I’m old and I’m fat without any regrets,
I sit here with the cat in my faded sweats.
Tired and grumpy, at least I’m not wet.
This nursing home leant me a Styrofoam bed.
Drinking and smoking are all that I know,
Lonely and wandering with no place to go.
I stick out my thumb and the wind does blow.
Colder and colder… Colder and colder…
To the end of my road.
